Sponsored Walk - 2nd October Every year we have a sponsored walk to try and raise money for a worthy cause. In the past we have done the walk in aid of charities such as Great Ormond St hospital. This year the chosen charity is the Shooting Stars Hospice, this organisation runs hospices specially for children with terminal illnesses. Please give ALL of the support you can to this! If you can't take part, please sponsor somebody who is!!! See the notice board for more information or to put your name down.
Halloween Disco - 29th October Annual disco for all ages. The youth club is transformed into a cavern of darkness and mystery. Everyone dresses up as witches, wizards, skeletons and all sorts, although a costume is not compulsory it does make things a lot more fun! There is a DJ to keep all of the ghosts and ghouls entertained. As usual the haunted bar will be open with drinks and sweets to buy, there will also be Franken-burgers and hot dogs available for the peckish un-dead. Prizes are on offer for the best costumes on the night!
Bonfire Night trip to Leeds Castle - 5th November Leeds castle in Kent puts on an amazing fireworks display each year. As well as the fireworks display in the evening, there is a fairground on all day long and you can go for a walk in the castle grounds. Explore the maze, or see the birds on show in the aviary. There's plenty to do and it's a lovely day out. Picnic is optional, otherwise there are burger stands etc. It is essential that you put your name down and pay up front if you want to guarantee your place on the coach. List will be on the notice board.
O.G.I.— Olympiadi Gioventu Italiana Every 2 years St. Peter's takes part in the O.G.I. which was started to allow young Italians the opportunity to take part in a 3 day Olympic event regardless of ability. The event takes place over the Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Monday at the end of May. They compete in athletics events and swimming as well. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed competitors. The past 2 events Finchley have managed to win the event, but next year we want to come home victorious. To do that we need your help, without you we can't achieve it!
